Sanxenxo is a village located on the Galician coast, Spain. It is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and is considered the tourist capital of the Rías (estuaries) Baixas. Its privileged situation gives excellent weather, with an average temperature of 15 ºC, as well as an environment with an incomparable charm in which highlights are the beautiful beaches and the natural landscapes of great beauty.
The 44 km² extension of the council is divided into seven parishes ; Adina, Bordons, Dorrón, Nantes, Noalla, Padrinan and Vilalonga with an approximate population of 17,100 inhabitants, the villages of Sanxenxo, Portonovo and Vilalonga are the most important urban centers.
Known mainly for its coastline: 36 km of coastline stretches by the Pontevedra and Arousa estuaries, with small coves and 24 beaches, 14 of them with the Blue Flag, being from the 2,004 the municipality with more awards from all Spain and the second one in Europe.
With time , Sanxenxo becomes a strong point for the tourism in Galicia, and for the rest of the world, it accounts with easy access, well by motorway or by the nearby airports (Vigo and Santiago). And, of course its extraordinary marina Juan Carlos I, required stop for many national and international sailors.
